The other day I decided to order some Red Buck Pipe Tobacco. I have had their filtered cigars, and they were ok, and came at a great price. I saw that their pipe tobacco was VERY low in price, and I appreciate natural all-American tobacco, so I placed my order on this site and waited for the mailman to bring me some new tobacco to smoke.
The package arrived in like 4 days, God do I love buydiscountcigars.com's shipping department! Inside were some resealable bags of Red Buck Pipe tobacco, as I decided to try several flavors/blends. One thing I really like about their bag, is that there is a "window" on the front, so it is very clear how much tobacco you have left without having to open the bag (If you open it too much it goes stale faster, trust me!). Also, the deer is not nearly as prominent as it is on the filtered cigar packs, and for that, I was very thankful. LOL
The tobacco itself is all natural, and having given up cigarettes and all their nasty chemicals years ago, that is the only kind I smoke. I smoke American Spirit quite a bit, but the price tag gets to me. Anyways, I would say the Red Buck tobacco was quite moist and natural, but it is not as uniformly cut as more expensive brands. This can cause lighting issues, a bad pack in a pipe, or make for cigarettes that burn out if you are the roll your own type.
I packed up the regular into one of my favorite pipes (yes I have about 20!), and had only a little trouble getting it lit. Through the whole bowl, it was a pretty even smoke, but I did have to relight twice, and some draws were uneven.
All in all, it is pretty good tobacco, and for the price, it is great tobacco. If you want natural tobacco on a budget, give Red Buck a go.
