Hello fellow smokers, and welcome once again to the Buy Discount Cigars review blog. Today we take a look, and a few puffs of, Muriel Black and Sweet Filtered Cigars and Muriel Sweet and Mild Filtered Cigars. Right away, you notice that they are more expensive than most other brands available on the site, so the big question to answer is: Are they worth it? In short, I definitely think so!
Perhaps you have tried Swisher Sweets, Seneca Sweets, or some other brand of sweet filtered cigars. If you enjoy the sweet varieties, then trying Muriel Sweet Filtered Cigars is certainly for you. I enjoy sweet little cigars, as I find the little bit of sweetness adds something extra and enjoyable to my smoking experience. However, I have tried some brands that attempt to use the sweet factor to overcome cheap, stale or otherwise unimpressive tobacco. This always makes me hesitant to try these types of filtered cigars, but with Muriel having a great reputation, I decided to give them a try.
As far as the cartons and packs, there is nothing really to report. Nothing exciting, different or unexpected. But, who buys little cigars for how pretty the packs are? Let's talk about the filtered cigars themselves. The construction and manufacture of Muriel Filtered Cigars is quite impressive. I noticed no holes, seem tears, excessive loose tobacco, or any of the other instant warning signs of cheap or poorly made filtered cigars. They look and feel quite nice, and without defect.
Smoking the Muriel Filtered Cigars, both the black and sweet and the mild and sweet varieties, is very enjoyable. The sweet part is great, not overdone but very pleasing, and the tobacco itself is top-notch. The aroma of the cigar has hints of leather and vanilla, and wafts and dissipates relatively quickly, and is truly a good scent to have around. They seem packed just right, and the rich tobacco and sweet flavor really are impressive.
If you read our reviews, I have never said anything like this before, but I feel it must be said. Of all the brands of sweet little cigars that I have tried, Muriel is hands down my favorite. It is the "Cadillac" of sweet filtered cigars!
