Imagine you are just about a mile north of Venice, Italy on one of many beautiful islands, and you would be in Murano. But, today we are here to talk about Murano Filtered Cigars. Perhaps, you have never heard of them, never tried them, but want to know: Are they any good? What do they taste like? Today we will find these answers as I try Murano Filtered Cigars for the first time!
With a pack that is red, white and green, the first thing I think of is, of course, Italy! The name is written in a nice looking script prominently on the front of the cigar pack, and there is a small crest above it that looks like something of Venetian nobility. The filtered cigar pack is attractive, yet simple, and seems to be something European or fancy. I like it! The pack seems well made, and a suitable home for my 20 filtered cigars that I am soon to enjoy. By the way, red is for full flavor, white is for lights (what I am trying today) and green is, as you might have guessed, Menthol.
As one of the best-rated little cigars on buydiscountcigars.com, my expectations of Murano are quite high. As I open the pack I can smell the tobacco inside. It reminds me a bit more of a cross between cigarette and cigar than cigar, and as an ex-cigarette smoker, I begin to get a little bit excited! As I roll the first Murano filtered cigar between my fingers, I notice very little tobacco escaping, which is a tell-tale sign of being well-made and that the company is not cheap with their tobacco leaving lots of void space within.
Time to smoke! I light up the filtered cigar and am very impressed nearly immediately. Smooth and not overbearing like many filtered cigars, this is definitely my new favorite. The smell is very faint as well, but I like what I taste and smell a lot. As one of the reviewers on this site said before, if you close your eyes you almost would swear you are smoking a Marlboro or something similar, but better!
