Smokin' Joe Jones here, and as always, I'm smoking something today! I am trying Double Diamond Filtered Cigars. They say a diamond is a girl's best friend... we'll just have to see about that! Double Diamond Filtered Cigars come in the standard 3 varieties: Full flavor, menthol, and mild (lights), so no surprises there. So let's give them a go.
When you first open the package you'll see the packs look like something out of the '60s. A classic look can be cool, so I try not to judge these little cigars by their cover, but it sure brings back some memories. The pack is yellow, and if you go full flavor the pack is red, green for menthol, and purple for the mild ones. These filtered cigars come at a great price, but we'll have to see what is inside to see if it is a value or not.
Upon opening the pack, I smell some good smellin' tobacco. A pretty good rush of it, which leads me to believe they are packaged and sealed well, which makes old Smokin' Joe Jones smile. Upon lighting the cigar, the wrapper catches quite easily, another good sign, becuase that means they have been kept dry. The smoke is quite mild, even the full flavors, so if you like a bold smoke, this might not be for you. For the ladies and light smokers, these are probably right up their alley! The aroma of the smoke is nice, but does not linger, which is a plus since my wife does not smoke, and doesn't care for me smoking either!
All in all, I would say if you buy filtered cigars online, or are thinking to, Double Diamond are worth a try, and I especially recommend them to those that enjoy a milder cigar or cigarette.
